A truly enchanting stay in Danson, our most beautiful room, for anyone who really appreciates the finer things in life! Guests will enjoy a cream tea on arrival as well as a delicious breakfast the next day. Danson has a romantic and sophisticated interior, with a large king-sized bed positioned in the centre of the room, meaning that views down the Lyth Valley can be seen through the grand windows. The adjoining bathroom is spacious and boasts a roll top bath and large shower. Danson is also equipped with a Roberts Radio and flat screen television.
The Punch Bowl is an old Lakeland Inn nestled in the hills above Windermere. Guests feel truly at home here with our roaring fires, comfy sofas, oak beams and Westmorland flagged floors. Outside, honeysuckle rambles the walls around a sunny terrace and there are walks from the doorstep.
Our restaurant is nationally renowned and its most famous dishes are the Twice-Baked Cheese Soufflé, Dry Aged Creedy Carver Duck Breast and the Lemon Tart with Damson Sorbet. Popular, more recent additions include the Prawn Tempura, Glazed Beetroot & Butternut Squash and the Chocolate Orange Crémeux. The ingredients for which come from our own farm wherever possible, with an orchard, veggie patch and herb garden. We also have an extensive wine list and excellent range of local ales.
